5G explained

5G or 5th Generation is the next generation mobile internet service and all the major UK operators including EE, Vodafone, Three and O2 have been rolling out in many cities and big towns across the UK. Popular locations like sports venues, entertainment and business areas will get 5G in the initial phase of roll out.

The new service promises to offer ultra fast download speeds (100Mbps+), wider coverage, more reliable connectivity and minimum lag.

Compared to 4G which can deliver average download speed of 35Mbps, 5G can offer average speed of up to 200Mbps and top speed of 1Gbps.

You can stream 4K videos, play multi-player games or download HD movies in a few minutes.
